Fort Collins, Colorado Engagement Session | Nick + Kim

Nick and Kim’s Fort Collins engagement adventure will be a session I remember forever.

Sadly, because on the way home from their session, I spun out on black ice and ended up going backwards down the interstate. Thankfully I was not injured, and the guardrail guided me back to the shoulder safely. There was damage to the car, but thankfully no one else was involved, and I wasn’t injured – just shaken up.

But before that crazy incident, I spent the afternoon hanging out and exploring Fort Collins with Nick and Kim. They moved to Fort Collins about a year and a half ago and have loved getting to explore their new home. So for their engagement session we did just that!

I love that engagement photos can be more then just photos in an epic location for Instagram or save the dates.

Engagement photos can be a time to document this season of life with your partner, for Kim and Nick that meant exploring around the Horsetooth resevior near their house and then walking around downtown.

We strolled past their favorite breweries and restaurants in town and stopped at Fort Collin’s famous chocolate shop, let me tell you, this place is amazing. Dark chocolate is probably one of my favorite foods; I would consider it a food group.

Nuances has a huge selection of chocolate bars and truffles, they have unique flavors like tequila and classics like vanilla. They have a large variety of single-origin chocolate bars from different countries around the world. They even have chocolate flights!

Fort Collins is filled with unique local shops and outdoor spaces which made for the perfect spot to wander around, especially during COVID.

Kim and Nick stayed true to who they were and documented their relationship while doing something they love.

For your engagement photos consider not only where you want them to be taken but what you want to do!
