Audrey + Connor | Stanley, Idaho

Audrey and Connor celebrated their wedding day in one of their favorite places on earth, Stanley, Idaho. A tiny mountain town a few hours from Boise. I fell in love with the Sawtooth mountains, the people, and the slow pace. You couldn’t wipe the smile off my face the whole weekend as we ventured from hot spring to hot spring and explored the lake nearby.

Audrey, Connor and I met for their engagement session in Colorado back in June, and I couldn’t wait to hang out with them again on their wedding day. They are two of the sweetest and most genuine people I have met.

They met in college at Mizzou and have been traveling across the country in their RV, with their pup Jam, ever since.

On their wedding day, they wanted to spend as much time with their friends and family. So Audrey and Connor spent the few days before the wedding showing their friends the part of the country they call home. Audrey shared how spending those few days before getting to talk and catch up with friends made the wedding day much more relaxed because she felt like she could truly be present and enjoy time with everyone instead of catching up on the wedding day.

Audrey and Connor celebrated their day by exchanging their vows beneath the mountains, vows that made every single guest cry 😂. Connor’s brother Michael officiated the ceremony, and his words and stories about Audrey and Connor’s relationship were beautiful.

They then shared cocktails with their guests in the mountains; although smoke eclipsed the view, it was still absolutely gorgeous.

Following Audrey’s dad’s beautiful speech comparing Audrey and Connor’s love to wildflowers, which once again had everyone in the room in tears, they danced the night away to the most amazing live music as they watched a stunning sunset.

Audrey’s dad Scott shared how Audrey told him she wanted her wedding day to be like a backyard barbecue with amazing music, and they did just that!

A few minutes into the reception, Audrey was talking to a friend; an elbow hit a wine glass and flew onto Audrey’s dress, spraying a pattern of wine stains all down her dress. Audrey laughed it off and rolled with the punches in the most beautiful way. And if I do say so, it looked pretty cool.

I am beyond thankful Audrey and Connor shared their day with me in a place that means so much to them. It was an honor to witness their celebration and document their love story.
