When I first met Hannah and her mom for coffee there was an instant connection; I felt like we were already friends after a few minutes of talking. It was such a joy to have that connection so quickly, something I strive to have with each couple I work with. I’m there in the most intimate parts of your wedding day, the only few minutes alone you really get throughout the day and its so important to feel that trust and connection with your photographer so you feel like you can be 100% yourself.
The Alexander at the Creek was one of the few dripping springs venues I had yet to shoot at so I was so excited to shoot two amazing people at such a beautiful venue. It quickly became one of my favorite Austin venues, as it has so many options for ceremony sites, a stunning white barn and ample getting ready spaces. And not to mention so many beautiful hill country views for portraits.
The warm wood of the bar was the perfect touch to Hannah and Chris’s winter wedding. I love how they made their day so elegant and warm, quite the opposite a lot of winter wedding’s I’ve seen. Christmas tree ornament favors, deep red and purple florals and wreaths lining the windows incorporated such warmth and elegance into their wedding day. Not to mention all of their personal touches. Personalized wine, koozies and most importantly their pups. It was so sweet to see their dogs throughout the day. From getting ready kisses to leading the walk down the aisle Ryker and Sam (who I recently found out passed away and made me cry looking back at these getting ready photos).
Scroll down to see Hannah’s incredible gown (like it fit her perfectly in every way), one epic dance party and so many sweet moments with family and friends.
So incredibly beautiful!
