Rocky Mountain National Park Winter Engagement Session | Andrew + Leeann

Leeann and Andrew’s engagement session was quite literally a dream. I have shot in Rocky Mountain National Park many times in the summer but never in the wintertime. I have always wanted to explore the mountains in the snow.

Leeann and Andrew came all the way from Texas to play in the snow and visit one of their favorite places in Colorado. They will be getting married in Boulder this fall – so for their engagement photos, they wanted to visit one of their favorite places in Colorado. Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, Colorado.

We spent the afternoon playing in the snow and around the lake. You may not be able to tell by the photos, but it was only 6 degrees while we were taking photos outside. Andrew and Leeann made it look like they were warming toasty, having hand warmers and fireball shots helped too!

After spending time exploring Lily Lake, we went into the town of Estes Park, Colorado, to visit their favorite book store and coffee shop. Andrew and Leeann visit Estes Park frequently and wanted their engagement photos to feel like themselves, so they decided to not only incorporate gorgeous views but also what they love to do.

So they fanned through some books and then headed to the coffee shop to snuggle in for the snowy evening.

It was such a fun way to document their relationship – it was honest and authentic to them. Which is what I believe every engagement session should be. Your engagement session is more than just a time to take photos for your save the dates – it’s a time to document you and your person doing what you love in this season of life.

As life moves forward and seasons change, these are the things and places you will want to remember 20 years from now, and I want to be there to document those memories.
